My experience of WYD2019, Ana Vargas, Girls’ Youth from San Luis, Argentina•
It is the second gathering I have participated in, and I came with more expectations of this one, since one already knows what a gathering is like from previous experience. Those experiences totally met my expectations and then some. They were days that allowed me to deepen in an encounter with myself, with the people around me, and most importantly, with God and his mother since she was one gathering’s protagonists in the motto showing her response to God, and that invites us to be like Mary— always willing—.
One of the things I liked best about the gathering was in meeting so many people with the same Faith. It made one feel accompanied in this world where the spiritual is set aside giving space to the most superficial.
Every one of the activities and encounters with the Pope left me with many teachings, and I return with the aim of transmitting this great love I experienced, and being a missionary disciple of God’s love from my life, which was one of the messages during the entire gathering. And as the Pope stressed, young people are the now (of God), and as he proposed, we can live God’s love now and transmit this love to others.
With 14 allies from San Luis at WYD
Fr. Alan Sosa Tello, adviser to the Schoenstatt Family from San Luis added:
“Fourteen allies from the youth groups of San Luis participated…eleven young people, Mr. and Mrs. Burdolini, and I was the adviser.
The trip’s organization was very relaxed; young people were in charge of everything. Santiago Burdolini, who experienced this time in Panama, was in charge of logistics.
Sharing with youths always renews strength; on this occasion, it renewed the desire for Schoenstatt to grow in Panama:
