Let us pray with Pope Francis: for an end to the violence in Venezuela

POPE FRANCIS’ INTENTIONS BASED ON CURRENT EVENTS

After the Angelus on the first Sunday of July, Pope Francis greeted the people of Rome and pilgrims from all over the world gathered in St. Peter’s Square. He used the opportunity to ask, once again, for “peace in Venezuela.”

“On 5 July, Venezuela celebrates the anniversary of its independence. I promise my prayers for this beloved nation and express my closeness to the families who have lost their children in the demonstrations. I call for an end to the violence and that a peaceful and democratic solution to the crisis can be found. May our Lady of Coromoto [Patroness of Venezuela] intercede for Venezuela! A let us all pray to our Lady of Coromoto for Venezuela.”
Everyone in St. Peter’s Square joined Pope Francis in praying a Hail Mary for Venezuela.

Through the Pilgrim Mother Campaign, Schoenstatt is present in various parts of Venezuela. The schoenstatt.org editorial team is in contact with two of them and through them, with various missionaries and those who receive them, their parishes, families and friends…

We know that many Venezuelans go online and often read schoenstatt.org. And now the Holy Father’s call. And the covenant of love, solidarity in the covenant…

What if we showed that this covenant solidarity is real? What if we made an effort and took the Holy Father’s intention in prayer to our shrines, our parishes? Wat if we left a message of solidarity for the people of Venezuela in the comments section below?

Concrete love is an effort and sometimes it costs us something. But love is only real when it shows itself in actions.
