BRAZIL, aciprensa. Catholics can send their prayer intentions to the National Shrine of our Lady of Aparecida, Patronness of Brazil, for the Mass with Pope Francis on 24 July.
The Press Office for the National Shrine of Aparecida published its “Devotion Campaign” – and is preparing a book of intentions to give to the Holy Father.
Catholics can send in their intentions until 14 July.
The Pope will visit Brazil for World Youth Day (WYD) from 23-28 July. The Mass with the Holy Father will take place on 24 July in Aparecida at 10.30 in the morning.
Auxiliary Bishop for Aparecida, D. Darci José Nicioli said that it “is a great blessing to have the representative of Christ here on earth here among us. It is an even greater blessing that together we can ask for the intercession of the Mother of God, our Lady of Aparecida.
“We will be united with the Holy Father in his intentions, and pray with him and for him,” said D. Darci.
