BRAZIL,aciprensa. Catholics can send their intentions to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Aparecida, Patroness of Brazil, to be offered at the Holy Eucharist that the Holy Father will celebrate there on July 24th.
The Press Office of the National Shrine of Aparecida stated that they are initiating a “Campaign of Devotees” through which they are compiling a book of intentions, which will be presented to the Holy Father.
The faithful can send their intentions until July 14th.
The Holy Father will visit Brazil for World Youth Day 2013 in Rio de Janeiro from July 23rd thru 28th. He will preside at the Eucharist on July 24th in Aparecida at 10.30 a.m.
For the Auxiliary Bishop of Aparecida, Bishop Darci José Nicioli, “ It is a great blessing to have the Vicar of Christ on Earth among us, and another great grace is to be able to ask the intercession of the Mother of God, Our Lady of Aparecida together.”
“Let us join the Holy Father in his intentions, let us pray with him and for him,” he admonished.
