This Saturday, September 17th, the Schoenstatt Fathers of the Verbum Patris Course (the first course of Fathers from Argentina and Paraguay) will celebrate together their Golden Jubilee of Priestly Ordination in Nuevo Schoenstatt, Florencio Varela. The celebration can be followed live or later as a recording on the Schoenstatt Argentina YouTube channel. —
This Friday, September 16, Father Guillermo Carmona, from the community of the Schoenstatt Fathers in Argentina, celebrated the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. Father Guillermo, who was the leader of the Schoenstatt Movement in Argentina for many years, belongs to the “Verbum Patris” course, which also includes Father Alberto Eronti, Father Ángel Strada, Father Guillermo Mario Cassone from Argentina – who already celebrated their jubilee in 2021 – and Bishop Emeritus Claudio Giménez from Paraguay.
Father Esteban Uriburu, Father Horacio Sosa Carbó and Father Antonio Cosp, who now accompany them from heaven, were also part of this course.
They were the first Schoenstatt Fathers, native of Argentina and Paraguay, who met the Founder, Father Joseph Kentenich, as seminarians and gave much impetus to the Movement in both countries since they were ordained priests in the early 1970s.
Joint celebration in Florencio Varela
United in this priestly jubilee, they have found the occasion to celebrate together the 50th anniversary of the Verbum Patris course. The Mass will be held today, Saturday, September 17, at 5:30 p.m. Argentine time (GMT-3) at the Church of God the Father in Nuevo Schoenstatt, Florencio Varela.
We are all invited to accompany them in this great celebration, which can also be followed through the Schoenstatt Argentina YouTube channel, to give thanks for the fruitfulness of their priesthood for Schoenstatt and for the Church.
