On 15 April 2016, the Family League in Jaraguá São Paulo commemorated the anniversary of the Santa Maria Letter in their home shrines. This life current began in 2008 and is celebrated every year on the same day.
Fifty-four couples participated in their homes. Couples who have home shrines invite couples from the Family League who don’t have home shrines and share a little bit about their family life.
Joyfully they lived a Cenacle moment with the Blessed Mother and experienced the meaning of commemorating life, given by God, in the miracle of transformation. As our father and founder, Fr. Kentenich tells us in the Santa Maria Letter: “Take the picture of the Blessed Mother with you and give it a place of honour in your homes. They will then become little shrines in which the picture of grace works miracles of grace, creating a holy family land and forming holy members of the family.” (Kentenich Reader, p260)
This life current offers a way of living the covenant of love in the bonds of the family, the small domestic Church.
