A Night to Remember

BRAZIL, by José Guilherme Mafra vía www.jumasbrasil.com.br •

The night of Wednesday, 30 March, the first Youth Rosary of 2016 was prayed in the chapel adjacent to the Schoenstatt Shrine at Londrina/PR. It was a night in which not even the strong rain prevented the youths from uniting to adore Jesus praying for the intercession of the Blessed Mother. More than 650 youths participated; it was the largest attendance of the five editions of the Rosary up till now.

The Rosary began with the animation and introduction of the Luminous Mysteries with a reflection for each one. They meditated on subjects related to daily life, the relationship with God, and how we can improve through Mary’s intercession. After the Rosary, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament was introduced with prayers and meditations regarding our attitudes before the world and how to be better before God and different before the world.

“United for the Blessed Mother, we are one Church”

The Youth Rosary has continually grown; it already has a organizational team of more than thirty members with ten youth groups’ participation. The coordinating team has more and more groups involved in improving this project to take God to the youths and always to strengthen the attachment to the Blessed Mother. The motto of the Youth Rosary emerged from almost a year’s work in this apostolate: “United for the Blessed Mother, we are one Church.”

The next Rosary is scheduled for the month of May, the month of Mary in Brazil. 27 May, the Youth Rosary will celebrate a year of its founding. It was a year of great effort and dedication by the entire youth, who seek to be protagonists in society.

The coordinating team is grateful to everyone who contributed in any way to the Youth Rosary, and it will continue to work to take the Blessed Mother and her Son to all the youth, since the youth are the future of the Church.
