BELMONTE, by Fr. Darío Gustavo Gatti, Schoenstatt Institute of Diocesan Priests, Argentina •

Dear friends worldwide, brothers/sisters in Covenant…

I have lost a runaway Blessed Mother… she is the hidden Queen of Belmonte shown here in these photos.

We have lost track of this picture that has been on pilgrimage for a long time throughout the world since 2004. On the occasion of the Blessing of the Shrine of Rome, Belmonte (8 September 2004), and as we walked through Roman streets, the picture destined for the Shrine’s altar was blown by the wind; it fell, its glass broke, and the picture was damaged…

One of my brother priests improvised a cardboard frame, and the picture continued on its pilgrimage…

The Mother who identifies with the fallen and broken on the road

We immediately said: “It is the Mother who identifies herself with the fallen and broken of the road…” “I prefer a Church which is bruised, hurting and dirty because it has been out on the streets, rather than a Church which is unhealthy from being confined and from clinging to its own security.” (EG 49), our Pope Francis says today…

This picture has to be somewhere, since we know that it has not stopped its march, but we have lost track of it. Is it possible that we can find it?

Any information is appreciated… And whoever gives the most helpful and beneficial information will receive a holy reward! Imagine a stay at Belmonte, how about it?

Thank you in advance…United in the Covenant,

Darío Gustavo Gatti
