This year on 18 October, the celebrations had a renewed and hopeful spirit. The 2014 experience in Schoenstatt, in Rome and here in Uruguay is still present.

“We feel that that we took steps that brought us closer as a family, and we continue to work on our objectives as a movement through our self-education, the giving of self in our daily life, prayer and work in Providencia (the educational center in Montevideo) and other missions within in the Church.” (18 October celebrations’ summary),

Adoration and vigil: a crown of flowers

On the afternoon of 17 October, Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign missionaries were in the Nueva Helvecia shrine for a holy hour of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament, and they presented the Mother Thrice Admirable a crown of flowers with their meditations.

Later at night, a beautiful group of young people and adults from our family gathered for a vigil at the shrine. Accompanied by prayer and songs, they reflected on Fr. Joseph Kentenich’s words, and they asked the Blessed Mother for her support to conquer the shrine of Montevideo.

They agreed to work on the conquest of the shrine, united in prayer and giving the Blessed Mother many contributions to the capital of grace.

A Nueva Helvecia celebration: Family style

18-nh-5-816x500On Saturday the 18th, the Schoenstatt Family from Uruguay gathered at the first Schoenstatt daughter shrine to participate in a large celebration along with the Sisters of Mary, the community of Nueva Helvecia, Rosary Campaign missionaries, and many pilgrims.

The gathering began at the shrine with a touching celebration of the Covenant of Love by a member of the Boys’ Youth; many young friends accompanied him.

After the arrival of dozens of buses with pilgrims, who prayerfully visited the Shrine, they gathered on the school sports’ field to celebrate the Holy Mass; Bishop of Mercedes Carlos María Collazzi celebrated.
