On November 1st, the Feast of All Saints, in the shadow of the Sisters’ of Mary Cor Ecclesiae Shrine, there was an open meeting of priests and seminarians. The participants were: two priests from Chile, one from Peru, one from Burundi, one from Brazil, and Father Simon Donnelly (schoenstatt.de correspondent) from South Africa, who was ordained as a priest in September.

Meeting of Priests in Rome“It was a very pleasant time,” commented Father Luiz Eduardo do Nascimento Bastos, from Brazil, photographer of the official photo for the first meeting of diocesan priests and seminarians. “I appreciate the hospitality. I liked the conference very much. It was surely the same for everyone else, and I am certain that everyone will return on December 6th for the next conference”.

The meeting began in the Shrine, and it continued at the Sisters’ of Mary house, where they were welcomed with great kindness.

It seems that something is beginning…

A strong experience of priestly fraternity

“It was a very good experience of priestly fraternity for me, especially in this Year of the Priest,” said Father José Luis Correa, a Schoenstatt Father from Chile, who is presently in Rome to work on tasks concerning the Worldwide Conference of Priests. He stressed that it is an open symposium, and other priests or seminarians are welcome “without problems and without any commitment; it is a totally free meeting.”

Father José Luis Correa is the adviser for the Branch of Diocesan Priests in Chile, which is a young Branch that is growing strong.
