A marked “I do” with the Mother and Queen of Schoenstatt

Elva, a young lady, no longer had her beloved father to accompany her at this very happy moment of her life – her wedding. So she invited the Queen and Mother of Schoenstatt to accompany her to the altar and together they said I doSr. M. Onilce Cigognini (www.tabormta.org) During the 60th Anniversary Jubilee of her Crowning, the Queen of Heroic Childlikeness received all the love and gratitude that She alone deserves. Her children love her so intensely and tenderly that they freely choose Her to accompany them at every moment of their lives: in times of sorrow, but most of all, in the happy moments. In this way, the Queen exercises her power in every way, since we offered our own lives in the symbol of the crown and scepter; there are many people who take her as a model for Daughter, Mother, and Spouse, which is what was experienced at a wedding celebration.

Mary and Jesus are once again at a wedding celebrationElva, a young lady, no longer had her beloved father to accompany her at this very happy moment of her life – her wedding. So she invited the Queen and Mother of Schoenstatt to accompany her to the altar and together they said I do. This was an “I do” that will be strengthened with the protection and help of the great Queen of heaven and of earth. And instead of the customary wedding march, “her highness” chose a song that touched everyone: “Our Lady” (Roberto Carlos) sung by Romualdo (Mumu), who belongs to the Schoenstatt Family League. During this moment, no one could control the tears. The young lady went to meet her husband giving herself forever through the marriage covenant to this song. Mary and Jesus are once again at a wedding celebration, as they were at the wedding of Cana, where Mary said to the servants: “Do whatever that he tells you”. During this celebration, these words became a reality once again.

ElbaHappy are they who discover and experience this mystery especially in our families. How different things are when Jesus and Mary are the special guests as a new family is formed. Surely, we would have more families like the Family of Nazareth.

After the wedding celebration, the newlyweds, Bruno and Elva, consecrated their lives to the One who could help them in every situation. Everyone vibrantly sang the consecration prayer. When Mary is present, the earth truly becomes a bit of heaven. Their wedding invitation contained a very profound and meaningful phrase from our Father and Founder, Father Joseph Kentenich, which he said during one of the “On Monday Evenings” talks: ““The husband and the wife that I have in front of me are not only body and blood. The people that are in front of me are in a way part of God.” ” (J.K.)

The couple is preparing for the Covenant of Love, and they plan to join the Schoenstatt League of Families.
