org. We publish sentences of Pope Francis every Monday as the "Door to the Week", so that they may accompany us every step of our pilgrim way in everyday life. These are statements made in the previous week, they are words that inspire us to increasingly become missionary pilgrims who live in solidarity, as poor, joyful, open and simple Pilgrims – in and with the Church – and ask for renewal in the genuine spirit of the covenant. Without humility there is neither effective service,Read More

mda. "We are only 100 days into this 'revolution of goodness.'  This was one of the headlines on 21 June, when almost every newspaper, website and television programme was talking about Pope Francis' first 100 days in office.  It has been 100 days since 13 March when he introduced himself to the world with words that caught everyone's attention:  "And now, we take up this journey: Bishop and People…A journey of fraternity, of love, of trust among us. Let us always pray for one another. Let us pray for theRead More

org. We have begun publishing a weekly insert containing the words of Pope Francis to help us along each step of our daily pilgrimage.  In this way, we find the strength to increasingly become pilgrims who are missionary, united in solidarity, poor, joyful, open and humble, asking that the Church renews us in the true spirit of the covenant.  Without humility, there can be no effective service or real internal renewal.  Pope Francis is speaking to us about the 2014 graces.  Let us pray for this grace.Read More
ROMA, mda. Who is this Bergoglio who speaks so simply and naturally that everyone can understand him? Who is this Francis who sits among a group of people and speaks frankly and honestly and is not afraid of the truth, and refers to the Holy Spirit as his most obvious ally? "We need to allow ourselves to be guided by Him, even if He takes us along unchartered paths; we need to be transformed by Him so that our message is always the Word, accompanied by real life; a spiritRead More

mda. On Sunday the Church all round the world was united in prayer for an hour – for the first simultaneous Eucharistic Adoration. All over the world Catholics united at 5 p.m. Central European Summer Time in Cathedrals, churches and religious houses to pray. Pope Francis led the Eucharistic Adoration in St Peter's, while Catholic churches in more than seventy countries joined in. This hour of common adoration around the globe was one of the climaxes of the Year of Faith, and an historical event, because for the first timeRead More
PARAGUAY, Father Antonio Cosp. On February 23rd, three days before traveling to Rome, thirty-five Schoenstatt Fathers of Father’s Region (Argentina, Italy, Nigeria, Paraguay and Uruguay) met with the Cardinal in the Curia of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires. I was grateful to con-celebrate with him for the first time in his cathedral. We came from Florencio Varela in different automobiles and at different times. He welcomed each group at the door, and he led us into a simple hall. There was a brief introduction, and he made himself available forRead More
