Queen of Africa

ZIMBABWE, Marlene Peter. We first crowned Our Blessed Mother “Queen of Africa” in Zimbabwe on 31 May 1981. Our Schoenstatt family was still very new having only started in 1977. At the time we began, there was a war of liberation going on. Independence took place in April 1980. That same year the Schoenstatt Family in Johannesburg, South Africa, crowned Mary, Queen of Africa. We decided to do so as well the following year. mkf. The entire Board of Directors of the International Family Federation participated in the Mass "toward 2014" on Saturday, the 28th, celebrated in the Original Shrine in covenant with Japan. Some youth from Chile, the Gold's from Argentina, Pilar and Luis Jensen of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Families, members of Team 2014, and people from the area also participated.
