ARGENTINA/PARAGUAY, Stella and Víctor Domínguez • During the first days of September, a desire born in the “Family” Tent of Covenant Culture during Jubilee 2014 in Schoenstatt, Germany, was fulfilled when a couple from Tucumán (Argentina), Gaby and Benjamín Sosa López, visited the Paraguay Stand. They became interested in two projects we presented: Hope Ministry born in Paraguay and Forta [Marriage Strengthening] originating in Mexico. On the same day, there where the source of the Covenant of Love emerged, we met Fr. Ludovico Tedeschi, and he asked us for theRead More
PARAGUAY, Horacio José Chávez Tottil • “One seldom sees a 15 year-old, who is already so mature and rich in every aspect. I still recall the first baby steps that we took as a community…” This is how Fr. Antonio Cosp remembers the beginnings of the Schoenstatt Family in the Diocese of San Lorenzo (DSL), which now joyfully and proudly celebrated its 15 years of life, where the National Shrine of Tupãrendá is located. On 4 January 2001, a group of people met to found the Schoenstatt Movement in theRead More
PARAGUAY, Dorys and Jorge Ortigoza • It was 2005; we were participating in a retreat about the Home Shrine during the initiation phase of the Schoenstatt Family Work. Fr. Déogratias Marahukiro (Burundi) gave a talk, and he offered the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Everything he told us about the Home Shrine touched us deeply, and simultaneously we both had the idea that it was the time to bless ours.  We approached Father Deo, we shared our idea with him, and we asked him to celebrate the blessing ceremony of our home. Read More
PARAGUAY, José Argüello • It was a terrible fright; on Wednesday, 7 September, there was a huge fire in the Boys’ Youth House in front of the Asunción Youth Shrine. Usually a group of boys spends a week together at the house. Thanks be to God, when the fire happened, no one was in the house, and it was just a big scare with a great deal of building damage. The damage and repairs are being evaluated.  There is sorrow and anger about the incident, and enormous gratitude that thereRead More
PARAGUAY, Mother of Tupãrenda House, Ana María Acha • In the photos of the blessing of Mother of Tupãrenda House, Ana María Acha, president of FundaProva (Foundation of the promotion of values and the prevention of violence) is shown with one of the cabbages from the organic garden in her hands. “It seems that you had to touch it to believe that what you experienced on 22 August was real,” I told her – and as a response she sent this testimony of the “prelude” to the blessing, an unforgettableRead More
PARAGUAY, Maria Fischer with Ani Souberlich and Mirta Etchegaray • “Our HOUSE was inaugurated on the Feast of Mary’s Queenship! The Blessed Mother gave us a beautiful, sunny day filled with joy, and most of all, hope for many youths!  The boys are very happy and proud to say that they are at the House!” Mirta Etchegaray proudly and ecstatically commented on the night of the 22 August. Something touched her even more deeply: “To hear those who are still in jail say that they already want to come here,Read More
PARAGUAY, Fr Pedro Kühlcke, Ani Souberlich  and María Fischer • The invitations were sent. On Monday, 22 August, the Feast of Mary’s Queenship, Bishop Claudio Giménez, Bishop of Caáupe and a Schoenstatt Father celebrated the blessing of the “Mother of Tuparenda” House, built near the Tuparenda Shrine; it is a training center for work and human development. Missions of joy

PARAGUAY, Fabián Daniel López Cuevas • I remember that Pope Francis once said: “Do not be men and women of sadness: a Christian can never be sad! Never give way to discouragement! Ours is not a joy born of having many possessions, but from having encountered a Person: Jesus, in our midst; it is born from knowing that with him we are never alone, even at difficult moments…” (March 24, 2013). I found this kind of joy in Christians in these missions. I like to call the Ciudad del EsteRead More
PARAGUAY, by Amín Ahmad SDB • My name is Amín; I am a religious, Salesian of Don Bosco.  I am 25 years old. Seven years ago, when I began my vocational road, at least once a month, I always went to the Shrine and prayed to the Blessed Mother for my vocation. Today in my religious life, I concretely feel the Blessed Mother’s closeness.  When something does not go well for me or I have a problem, and I do not have options for solving it, I place it inRead More
PARAGUAY, Sonia Zarate and José A. Zaracho • Like every year, during the month of August, the Auxiliary MTA of the Encarnación Diocese visited Colonias Unidas. It is a colony composed of three cities: Hohenau, Obligado and Bella Vista, where descendants of German, Swiss, Belgians, Brazilian immigrants and those from other countries reside. She always brings us pleasant surprises on her visit here. “Espigas de Amor’s” dream A group of the Schoenstatt Family Branch, ESPIGAS DE AMOR [FRUITS OF LOVE], with seven couples, the majority with small children, had theRead More
