Pure Life
BURUNDI, Caritas Kabirig. At the end of 2009, my daughter in-law was expecting her first child. The pregnancy was going well until the sixth month, at that time, she began to suffer from hypertension, and she underwent treatment.
Cristina Arana de Sanguinetti. On January 20, 2012, I was reading an online Argentinean newspaper, La Nación, when I found an article by a well-known journalist; it was a report about the Argentinean Jews who escaped the Nazi Holocaust. I am interested in learning all I can about our older brothers, the Jews, because our Father and the Founder of Schoenstatt also suffered during the Nazi regime.
SWITZERLAND/GERMANY, fma. Father Sayings make one ingenious. FatherSayings convert walls into message boards, - walls in houses, offices, universities, and stores into Father's Sayings. The "search for the perfect wall" makes you creative, but in the end …what is a wall? As if Father Kentenich could be limited to a wall and in the same way his Family. Christoph Grauert has his Father Saying on the ceiling directly over his desk, and it is effective there.
Margaret Steinhage Fenelon. “How could this have happened? You’re so young!” I’ve been hearing that comment over and over again in the past weeks, ever since my heart procedure. I admit that it caught all of us off guard, including me, because it came on suddenly – as if out of nowhere – and yes, I’m a bit on the young side for such a condition. It surprised even my doctors. Funny, last night I chatted with another member of our Schoenstatt Family who has had multiple heart procedures, including the implantation of a defibulator and pacemaker. He let me put my hand over his chest so I could feel the little mechanical marvel. Even though he’s nearly twenty years my senior, I thought to myself, How could this have happened? He’s so young! In that moment, I realized that, in the Covenant of Love, age is relative.
Ana María Mendizábal de Aristi. I have returned from the "HOME" to the everyday home. I am trying to adapt to the new schedule, and I am having trouble connecting to everyday life, since I am still in Schoenstatt mentally and in my heart…The experience of my visit to the Original Shrine, the Blessed Mother, and to Father have been totally different than what is usually experienced on a pilgrimage, which is "organized formally".
CANADA, Iwona Pawelec. I met the MTA, the Mother Thrice Admirable of Schoenstatt, through my friend, Barbara who lives in Toronto and is already a missionary. Through her, I came to know about the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign.
PERU, Queca Espinoza. Today in the afternoon, I had the joy of taking a friend I met via the Internet, Javier Cabral from Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, to the Molina Shrine. Schoenstatt's International website united us some years ago, and today we were able to meet personally.
ARGENTINA, Luz Bombien. Representatives of different generations shared testimonies during the jubilee of the Argentinean Girls' Youth. This is the testimony that I presented at this meeting on behalf of my generation '92. My testimony condenses the history of what we received, and it attempts to be timely. After speaking, I showed the t-shirt with the logo of our Latin American conference of the Girls' Youth '92, and on the back, it has a large face of the Blessed Mother with the motto.
USA, Celina Garza. Texas is suffering the worst draught in decades, wildfires are raging. Prayers were said in several Holy Masses in Schoenstatt in elsewhere, prayer promises from all over the world added as comment to the article on the Texas Rain Novena, special prayers said on Covenant Day…
INDIA, Br. Peter Leonard. We started our journey on August 12th from the Original Shrine by bus. Two buses went from Schoenstatt. One night we stayed in France. During the journey, I came to know a lot of European youth. They were very happy to speak with me. On 13th late in the evening, we reached Madrid. The boys were accommodated in our Schoenstatt Father's school (Mount Tabor) and the girls in the Sisters' Movement house. All were satisfied with the quality of the accommodations.
