CHILE, Fr. Adrián González Ibarra. "Imitation is a rule of admiration," These words closed the editorial written by Father Raul Hasbun in the July 2011 edition of the magazine, Vinculo and it begs the question- Who do we admire? And in this particular case the answer is Father Jorge Falch, a member of the Schoenstatt Diocesan Priests Institute, who died on June 1, 2011 in the San Jose priest's house next to the Bellavista Cenacle Shrine.
Fr. Andrew Pastore. 24th January 2012. A day after the very emotional experience with the funeral for Fr. Jonathan Niehaus. Some thoughts …
Agathe Hug. A strange atmosphere spread through Schoenstatt in the days following the news that Fr Jonathan Niehaus had been called to his eternal home. On the one hand, it was marked by a certain relief that he had been released from his pain and suffering, and is now in the glory of God in our eternal Schoenstatt. We can imagine in very human terms how the Blessed Mother, our Father and Founder and all "Schoenstatt saints" welcomed him home.
Fr. Heinrich Walter. Fr. Jonathan Niehaus (51), from Ivanhoe, MN, USA, has been called home by God the merciful Father, after his battle with lung cancer. He consciously lived and offered the last phase of his life.
SWITZERLAND, org. Father Josef Banz, a Schoenstatt Father, who had been the chaplain at the Sachseln Hermitage of Saint Nicholas of Flüe until two months ago, was called by God the Father to the eternal Christmas. He fruitfully worked for many years promoting veneration to Saint Nicholas Flüe, the patron saint of Switzerland, counselor and pacifist, who is needed by many people today precisely for those reasons.
SOUTH AFRICA, Marlene Peter. On Sunday 11 September 2011, Patricia (Tish) Holding’s life ended here on earth, and began in Heaven, her true home, with our Heavenly Father. Her unexpected death followed complications during surgery she underwent on Thursday 8th September (Our Lady’s birthday), in Johannesburg, South Africa.
PARAGUAY, Father Antonio Cosp. He died at dawn on July 24th after a long illness. He was one of the first four Paraguayan Schoenstatters, and he appears in the founding photo at the reception of the Youth Shrine.
CHILE, Carmen Maria Rogers. At dawn this passed June 1st, "the German priest who dedicated his life to creating Works in Chile," arrived at the eternal Schoenstatt. Fr. Raúl Hasbún said, "the person of Father Jorge could be summarized in three evangelical words: silence, hope, and fidelity."
SCOTLAND, John Burns. Jim, when he worked in Industry, ran his own business and he was known as a man who usually got what he wanted. Jim has now retired and is not in the greatest of health, but he is still getting results. Big Jim was a man to be reckoned with and this is his story - a story of the grace of the shrine. Jim was a local businessman who had carried out some building work for the Sisters of Mary at Campsie Glen, Lennoxtown, Scotland. He was also fondly remembered as the man who installed the Holy Spirit Symbol in the window of Ballencleroch House, the Schoenstatt Retreat House that so many thousands of people have now visited.
USA, Judy Harlowe. Special programs during retreats at the Schoenstatt International Center in Waukesha, in Ohio, in Illinois and in Minnesota often include Fr. Gerold Langsch playing his keyboard and singing. Soon, members of the Schoenstatt family will be able to take Fr. Gerold’s music home with them or listen to his music on the way to work, to Church or to family gatherings.
