Around the Original Shrine
María Elena Vilches. María Teresa (from Uruguay) and Christian (from Germany) will marry on May 12th in Fussen, in the south of Germany. They wanted to come to the Original Shrine for their marriage preparation.
María Elena Vilches. It has been one month since the administration of the Original Shrine passed into the hands of the Schoenstatt Family. On this occasion, it coincided with the beginning of the month of Mary.
Agathe Hug. The month of May is the month of gifts. A great gift was the return of Fr Kentenich on 20 May 1945 from Dachau. Vice versa, the month of Mary is the month of giving gifts to the Blessed Mother.
Maria Elena Vilches. April 1 was truly a feast day for the International Schoenstatt Family. This day was the beginning of a new phase that opens doors to new dialogs and negotiations now from a new perspective. The capital of grace offered by generations throughout the years now becomes a gift for which the Family gives constant thanks.
Agathe Hug/org. April 1st will be recorded in the history of the Original Shrine as the day on which the Pallottine Fathers entrusted it to the Schoenstatt Fathers, as the legal leaders, for its free use. It is a transcendental, historic event that was witnessed by the universal Schoenstatt Family, thanks to schoenstatt-tv, schoenstatt.org, and many other channels of communication; the many comments on schoenstatt.org show this moment it was intensely shared. Other historic events that took place during the month of April are the reception of the MTA picture on April 2, 1915, and the founding of the Marian Congregation on April 19, 1914.
org. Today, Palm Sunday, the Family formally took possession of the Original Shrine, Alleluia, Glory to the Lord! Our cradle, our original source of grace, was placed into the hands of the Schoenstatt Fathers today with everything that this implies for us. Even stronger torrents and torrents of graces will spring from it, which will translate into deeds. We have recuperated our beloved Shrine, of which the MTA took possession on that October 18, 1914, at the Founding Father's request and of the group of youth, who joined our Father's "secret favorite idea".
María Elena Vilches. The day began very early, while it was still dark and very cold. At 6:00 a.m. there was movement in the Shrine and the celebratory spirit of a great day was felt. This Palm Sunday marked a milestone in the history of the Schoenstatt Family throughout the world. After many negotiations, the step was finally taken! As of today, April 1, 2012, the administration of the Original Shrine has passed into the hands of the Schoenstatt Fathers. It was a heavenly moment: Our cradle, our original source of graces was placed into the hands of the Schoenstatt Fathers, with everything that this implies for all of us. From it - even stronger torrents and torrents of graces will spring from it translated into deeds. We have recuperated our beloved Shrine of which our MTA took possession on that October 18, 1914, at the request of the Founder and Father and the group of youth who joined our Father's "secret favorite idea".
Agathe Hug/usd. By celebrating the Holy Eucharist together, freezing together, and getting warm together. This is a brief summary of the Founder and Father of the Schoenstatt Family's name day celebration on March 19, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. at Covenant House in Schoenstatt. For the second time, this event was celebrated at night, and everything that is done more than once becomes a tradition. Those who did not attend may mark it on their calendar for next year. The Feast of Saint Joseph means: Name day celebration at Covenant House.
