Fr. Heinrich Walter. The dispatch of this letter has been held up because it took longer than expected to get the contract signed, and the publication had to be agreed with both the Pallottine and Schoenstatt authorities.

Agathe Hug. A woman was at the door of my gynecology office, and she was looking at the picture of the MTA that hangs there with awe. The picture is adapted to a modern gynecology office. Through the partially opened door, I observed how she took out a piece of paper from her purse and wrote something. Since she was my next patient, I asked her to enter saying: "I am sorry, I had to interrupt you meditation." "Yes, she said, it is a wonderful picture. In fact, I have copied the phrase that is below it. I believe it is the name of the store where it was bought or the name of the artist. I will look for it on the Internet." Whew! ...I thought, I do not remember what is written! How embarrassing, I pass by the picture a thousand times, I see the MTA, and everything that surrounds the picture a thousand times, and I do not know what is written on it. But I am sure that it is not the name of the artist or the name of the store. But I did not mention this to the patient, and I talked to her about her visit. Later I sneaked a peek at what she had written: MPHCEV (the Blessed Mother will take perfect care and She will triumph). Oh! I knew that this is what was written, but I had forgotten.

ARGENTINA, Marinés and Mario Martínez. In Paraná, the capital of Entre Rios Province, the Schoenstatt Family once again committed to "row into the sea" of Family Missions, taking the message of hope and joy of living Christ's Gospel and the love of the Blessed Mother to the communities living in Brugo, Piragua and Puerto Vibora (the last two are extensive rural colonies).

Today I want to inform you about something that was already passed on the people with the main responsibility for the Schoenstatt Movement on our Covenant Day, as well as to Team 2014. It presents a challenge to us all.

Fr. José María García - official Newsletter 2014/3. The Cardinals of our Church are meeting today, 17 February, in the new Synod Hall in the Vatican for a day of prayer and reflection on the subject of "the proclamation of the Gospel today, between Missio ad gentes (Mission to all people) and new evangelisation". At the same time we are receiving the third of our information and motivational newsletters for our great "pilgrimage to the Original Shrine on 18 October 2014, which is open to all", as the Message 2014 stated, because we know that "places and times have the character of sacramentals" for us.

Agathe Hug/org. The scant snow crackled beneath people's feet as they move quickly and are wrapped up well against the cold. Although we were praying in covenant with Russia, we were not in Siberia, but in Schoenstatt, at fourteen degrees below zero. Of course, the Russians, especially in Siberia, do not care about our complaints about the "Siberian cold". However the circumstances in Schoenstatt were already a bit too cold.

PERU, Queca Espinoza. During the 99th Ordinary Assembly of Bishops from Peru, the Metropolitan Archbishop from Ayachucho and Military Bishop, Salvador Piñeiro García-Calderón was elected as the new president of the Peruvian Episcopal Conference for the term of 2012-2015. He will replace Bishop Miguel Cabrejos. Bishop Pedro Barreto was also elected as vice-president and Bishop Javier del Río as second vice-president. It is very good news for the Schoenstatt Family in Peru, since Bishop Piñeiro has always extended his hand to and collaborated with the Movement. He has been in the Original Shrine, and he has prayed at the Father and Founder's tomb.

org. The next official 2014 newsletter is just around the corner, being planned for the 17th February, just on time to be shared with all who come together for the renewal of the Covenant of Love on February 18th. Fr. Andrew Pastore, from England, member of the Communication Team 2014, is in charge for this newsletter and the official website of the jubilee, www.schoenstatt2014.org – as you will see a lot on has happened since the launch of the website in October and of the newsletter in December 2011.

BRAZIL, jumasbrasil.com. Many Schoenstatt youth were connected to their social networks following the intense and emotional moment when the official logo for WYD Rio2013 was announced. Moments later, the heart-shaped symbol had taken over Facebook profiles and Twitter updates. It's a moment of celebration! WYD is starting!

Agathe Hug/org. Saturday, January 28, 2012, marked the end of an intense week in Schoenstatt. Father Andrew Pastore mentioned the events of the week in his introduction of the Holy Mass in Covenant with the Dominican Republic: Father Jonanthan Niehaus' funeral and the way in which one man can touch so many people in his life and in his death. Then a small but important step on the way toward 2014: This week, Father Pastore has become one of the first official residents of Covenant House where he will live and work- as the person in charge of the www.schoenstatt2014.org webpage and the monthly newsletter, "Toward 2014."

GERMANY, fma. On February 7^th, "Marriage Week" began in many European countries, and for the fourth time in the entire German federal territory; it is a week about subjects related to marriage, or an activity that simply aspires to offer something "good for marriages". In many places around Germany, approximately five hundred retreats are held, where couples are invited for a special experience. Pavel Jerabek, a journalist from "Katholische Sonntagzeitung" -an important Catholic outlet- took something that seemed "special for him from a press release with many offers in southern Germany-the new training course of the Academy of Family Pedagogy that was to begin at the same time as the beginning of "Marriage Week". The considerable training of family trainers is stressed from the colorful dance at the candlelight dinner, to a romantic trip beneath the stars, and the blessing ceremony", the journalist said and he asked for an interview…

PARAGUAY, Ricardo Acosta. The summer youth camp was held on the first weekend of February, on the grounds of the "Bishop Lasagna camp-house". On the first day, more than 170 youth from the central zone gathered at 3:00 p.m., to form a part of a great adventure; the camp was officially opened with a Mass celebrated by Father Pedro Kühlcke.

Vero Heredia. "Allow me to be a living Shrine of the MTA for the glory of the Father!" I chose this phrase of the Father as the title of this testimony because for some time I have been thinking about this idea in my head and heart that the Shrine not only showers its graces when we enter it; but also, through the life of each one of us. And this how the founder wanted it for his life and he desired it for each one of us. The graces of the Shrine should "go beyond" its walls!

Sr. Marianna Kulakowska. On February 11, 2012, the Holy Mass toward 2014 will be celebrated in the Original Shrine “in covenant with Russia”.  The surface area of this country is 17,075,200 km2; it is the largest of the entire world.  The surface area of the land is 16,995,800 km2 and the area covered by water is 79,440 Km2.  Russia is located between Europe and the Pacific Ocean.  There is still discussion as to which continent it belongs.  Some see it as part of Europe, others see as part of Asia.  It is twice the surface area of the United States.  Its borders are 20k 095.5 km, and it has borders with many countries because of its size and its location.
