SPAIN, Juan Zaforas. Dear readers of Schoenstatt.org, allow me to share a beautiful story with you that took place last weekend in a small place near Madrid (Spain).
As I am sure you know, the Schoenstatt.org communicational project, which was started several years ago with the intention of establishing bonds within the International Schoenstatt Family through its website, is underpinned by an enthusiastic group of collaborators spread across five continents. All are Schoenstatt members and each one contributes some of their joy and availability, capability and talent.
Vision, position, and mission
So, picking up on the story I want to share with you, a small group of collaborators chose Guadarrama to hold their first formal meeting of the international team of Schoenstatt.org, which was privileged to receive input from Spanish journalist, Javi Nieves. Members from Germany and Spain were physically present and others joined from Argentina and South Africa via tele-conferencing. During the meeting, they examined what has been done until now and looked to the future, discerning its “vision, position, and mission” that will guide the website’s content.
The group also worked on technical and structural aspects that will soon affect the look of the website. For three days, the participants applied themselves and were very satisfied with the fruits achieved, which I hope you will soon be able to enjoy.
Since life is not just about working…
Since life is not just about working, the group also made time to relax after many hours of work by taking advantage of the Madrid night. They went for dinner in the centre of Madrid, where they enjoyed typical Spanish dishes, strengthened their personal bonds, shared their wishes and concerns and spent a few very pleasant moments together.
In closing, let me tell you that the sentence chosen to guide the work of this team into the future, was given by Pope Francis during the Audience with the International Schoenstatt Family on 25 October 2014, “a culture of encounter is a covenant culture that creates solidarity.”
