National Meeting of the Mexican Madrugadores

MÉXICO, Gustavo Glez

The long-awaited date for the 1st National Gathering of Mexican Madrugadores arrived: it was the November 17-19, in the Shrine’s Training House: “Loyal heart of the Church” in Querétaro. It was a long awaited gathering for the Mexican Madrugadoros.

It was a tremendous joy to meet as a community of men from different states of our beloved Mexico: Monterrey, Saltillo, Chihuahua, Torreón, and naturally, Querétaro. The participants had a great experience; they experienced great unity, fraternal solidarity, and training. It was spiritual, communitarian, with songs, and the ever-present mariachi.

Madrugadores’ founder accompanied the gathering

The gathering’s subject matter revolved around the Madrugadores’ mission in general and, in Mexico, in particular. Octavio Galarce, from Rancagua Childe founder of the Madrugadores current, which is now present in several Latin American countries, was invited to this gathering. Mario León, from Costa Rica also participated; he made an extraordinary contribution in the communitarian aspect, and he dazzled us with his voice and his guitar.

The participants analyzed what Schoenstatt offers them, and they worked on the definition of their being, their belonging, and working as Madrugadores in Guadalupana (Our Lady of Guadalupe) lands.

The 2nd National Gathering of Madrugadores will be in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, in 2019.
