First Covenant Day 2017: Santa Rita hosts a special visitor

PARAGUAY, Amada Girett with Maria Fischer •

Santa Rita, the Alto Paraná city that has two wayside shrines (both are already a part of the digital mosaic of the Original Pilgrim Mother in Belmonte’s Joao Pozzobon Hall), experienced a visit by the Auxiliary MTA to the missionaries’ homes. Although it is the midst of summer vacation and it was very hot, this visit was a good reason to prepare for the renewal of the Covenant of Love with greater anticipation.

Joy cannot be contained

On the first 18th of the year with special joy, Santa Rita  celebrated the Covenant of Love with the Blessed Mother. “I thought that not many missionaries would attend, Amada Girett admitted, “because many were still on vacation, but it wasn’t like that. We prayed the Holy Rosary for families and for Joao Pozzobon’s canonization, then we had a Holy Mass dedicated to the Covenant of Love. In his homily, Fr. Marcio dedicated a beautiful reflection to the Blessed Mother. Before the final blessing, he commissioned the Pilgrim Mothers to renew them with graces and blessings so they can continue to go on pilgrimage to all the homes.”

All the missionaries experienced a very touching moment at the beginning of the year with the renewal of the Covenant and with the visit of the Auxiliary Pilgrim Mother Shrine. Amada concluded: “Everyone left considerably strengthened, with boundless energy to continue working more fervently for the Blessed Mother and her Son Jesus.”
