Pope Francis wants to listen to you – and so does Schoenstatt.org!

YOUTH. FAITH. DISCERNMENT – Journey to the Synod, Schoenstatt.org base team •

If you are a young person between the ages of 16 and 29 living in the world, we don’t need to tell you that today’s world changes quickly.

The Church, which is universal, changes quickly and changes with you. The Church needs you so that it can understand the meaning and importance of these changes and make useful proposals based on your experiences of faith.

At Schoenstatt.org we don’t want to stand on the side lines of the Synod of Bishops in October 2018 under the motto “Young people, the faith and vocational discernment.” We don’t want to be simple spectators applauding Pope Francis’ initiative to base the discussions of the Synod on the experiences of young people themselves. We want to collaborate in a real and concrete way.

We invite you and encourage you to participate in the survey.  The 60.000 young people from all continents, who have already taken part, offered the Church their experiences of faith, their concerns, questions and dreams. We invite you to do the same, and to invite and encourage your friends, your youth communities, and your classmates at school or university to also participate.

Pope Francis wants to listen to you, and wants your voices to reach the Bishops and the whole Church, irrespective of where you live, regardless of your social, economic or religious situation…in this project there is and should be room for EVERYONE.

You embody the challenges of change.

At schoenstatt.org we want to give you a microphone, so that through your story, your experience, your concerns, questions, ideas, commitments and dreams, all of us who are and form part of the Church, can learn and change, at the pace that the universal church also changes with you.

Young people embody the challenges of change, and in them the gospel of the coming times is shaped by their experiences, where the Holy Spirit acts and makes itself known. We need to know how to listen to young people in their experiences, questions and doubts. The new charisms through which the Holy Spirit will guide the Church and Schoenstatt are forged in their hearts, giving it their being and mission.

Your story, your witness, your contribution is important to us.

You can share it in any format: an audio clip, video, in writing, with a drawing…each young person is free to express him or herself in the medium that comes most easily and, above all, with great creativity.
